Transportation

Bussing

Bussing will be provided by CHS for basketball and volleyball teams during league play.

Badminton and Track and Field busses will be booked based on number of participants and at the discretion of the Athletic Director and Administration.

Additional fees may be charged for extra transportation costs.

Busses will not be utilized for tournaments unless arrangements are made by the athletic director.  Additional fees may be associated with weekend tournament use that will be charged to players.

Athletes are expected to ride on the bus to AND from games. If they wish to get a ride home with their parents they must inform the coach.

Volunteer Drivers

Family members may transport other immediate family members to events.

Players may be transported to events by registered Volunteer Drivers.

To become a registered Volunteer Driver, drivers must complete Palliser’s Volunteer Driver Form and meet all requirements as stated on the form. Volunteer Driver forms are available from the school office or Athletic Director. Volunteer vehicles used for league transportation will not be eligible for financial compensation from the school.

Along with the Volunteer Driver Form, volunteer drivers must:

  1. Complete a criminal record check prior to transporting other players besides immediate family members. Letters asking RCMP for a reduced rate on the necessary record check can be found on page 25 of our Athletic Handbook.
  2. Submit a drivers abstract prior to transporting other players besides immediate family members. Any extra costs accrued will be the responsibility of the volunteer driver.
  3. Obtain $2M liability on the vehicle used to transport other players besides immediate family members.  Any extra costs accrued will be the responsibility of the volunteer driver.

Please note: Students MAY NOT drive themselves to off-site activities (such as games or tournaments)
